The telephone is one of the most important inventions in human history. It has allowed people to communicate with each other in real-time other over vast distances. Both landline telephones and cellular phones are used by billions of people every day around the planet. However, before someone can use a telephone, he must first sign up for telephone service. Phone service can be quite costly depending on the terms of the service contract and the number of calls made per month. Most telephone service providers, including landline service companies, require their customers to buy a phone as a part of the service contract.

However, an alternative to regular phone service is available called Voice over IP (VoIP) that offers comparable features of regular phone service including a fax number at a lower cost. VoIP is a set of communication protocols and transmission technologies that enables voice communication over the Internet. Therefore, if you have Internet access, you can use VoIP service to talk to other people with your computer. The service requires the speed of a broadband Internet connection to work effectively.

VoIP service does not require a telephone like regular phone service, you can use your computer’s microphone and speakers. A VoIP user can make calls to a landline phone, cellular phone or another VoIP user. Many VoIP providers allow users to call each other for free, regardless of their geographic location. Additionally, the fee charged for calling long distance numbers or other countries is considerably lower than a traditional phone service. Unlike regular phone service, VoIP also has a number of extra features that are provided at no extra charge, such as caller ID, call waiting, conference calling and voicemail. These services can incur an extra charge at a regular service provider.

Because VoIP service is an Internet-related service, anyone who calls a VoIP number is not charged a long distance rate if the number is a local number, despite the geographic location of the person who has the service. Signing up for VoIP service is a comparable alternative to regular phone service which can save you money.

When speaking of technological advances, most people automatically think of computers, mobile phones, Tablets, CD/DVD’s Players and even Blue Ray’s. However, High-tech modernization can actually include many elements. Technology is something that appears in all regions of the world is some small way or another.

Technology can impact how people associate with each other; an outstanding example of how it influences us is the telephone. Before the expertise of the phone, we had a delay for messages or communications to get to us. Now it is simple to just pick up a phone or a mobile phone and telephone whoever we need to talk too. Instantaneous communications is something technology has completed for us. The technique that the mobile phones went through to get to the current condition is also proof of constant emerging technology. Mobile phones went from bulky, large phones, to bag phones and now the phones are so tiny they can fit comfortably in a pocket.

It is not only limited to telecommunications. Components within gadgets like the cellphone have even emerged as a surprise. Items such as the SD memory card, CompactFlash memory card, and micro SD card have all made head way into the modernization of technology. The capacity has constantly increased up to the point of Terabytes now. This was unheard of even in a computer just a decade ago.

In this country, technology has established rather easily. Look at the Internet and how futuristic it has become in just a few short years. Today most people depend on the internet and most people and businesses cannot function without it. Look all around, everything is becoming digital and connected to the internet in some way or another. The medical community and industries both big and small are all making high-tech advances.

Television is another arena that there has been unlimited modernization. People in the 1950’s thought that the inventions of the black and white screens were futuristic. Today there are many screens available including those in 3D. Forget getting up to change the channel, you can now change the channel from the next room. Now televisions are in the back of cars and going down the freeway it is easy to see a movie playing on the back of headrests; talk about innovation.

Video games are another part of technology that has continued to grow. The first video games like Pac Man and Frogger seem so trivial compared to the thought provoking video games we have now. The once family friendly games have also turned futuristic leaving children explaining them to their parents. Technological innovation is something that everyone has learned to adjust too daily. Whether the changes or events are gigantic or minute, we embrace them over time. Technology is continually developing and we are continuously altering our lives to keep up with it.

For instance, now the cell phone can be a tool to monitor social media statistics.  Things like twitter managing and facebook management software can all be found on the cell phone. It is quite convenient now that all social crm can be managed in the palm of your hand.

Play game with friends any time you wish. You can play games such as Yahtzee and Scrabble against friends thousands of miles away. You don’t even have to be in front of a computer to play as your smartphone allows you to play them over social networking applications on the phone.
